Aldis points out that this isn’t his first time in a high pressure situation. He was the TNA World Champion for a while, and his experience with that Title has made his NWA Title reign much easier. He points out that sometimes every professional wrestler needs to step back and think about why they got into the business in the first place. Scott Hall told him one time, “I just wanted to be a big time pro wrestler”, and Aldis thought that was just perfect because it was so simple.

Ross points out that it’s a great time to be in the wrestling business because the industry is so healthy. Non-WWE guys like Aldis can make a hell of a living nowadays working for independent promotions and one-off events like the upcoming ALL IN event.

Ross asks Aldis if he thinks he and Cody Rhodes should close the show at ALL IN. Aldis says that’s not his decision to make. Given some of the other matches on that card he’d understand if they didn’t go on last, but he appreciates all the fans who’ve made it known that they think he and Rhodes should close the show. Aldis assumes that Rhodes will receive a hero’s welcome in Chicago that night.

That sums up today’s episode of The Jim Ross Report. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
