Roman Reigns’ UFC Freedom 250 appearance at the White House is still getting people fired up, and now Jim Cornette has entered the chat.
While speaking on his Drive-Thru, Cornette ripped into Reigns for showing up at UFC Freedom 250 on the White House lawn. Roman was there as part of TKO’s big crossover moment, but Cornette clearly saw it as something much uglier, accusing him of being an attention seeker.
“Roman Reigns will go to Saudi Arabia. He’ll go to the White House. He’ll go wherever they’ll pay him. He’s just an attention whore. Just a f***** goddamn—he’ll go anywhere and lend his credibility to anything.”
Jim Cornette’s issue was simple. He thinks Roman is too big of a star to act like he has no choice. In Cornette’s eyes, Reigns had enough power to say no, and the fact that he did not says plenty. Then Cornette went all the way in, saying Roman’s decision exposed him.
“He’s a big enough star that he could have said, ‘No f**** way,’ to the White House. So, we now know he’s one of them and what he’s all about: boring, with questionable values.”
This whole thing started after TKO posted Roman at UFC Freedom 250 with the caption, “The OTC at The White House,” and Roman reposted it with his usual one-finger emoji. That was all it took to get people talking.
Paul Walter Hauser had already gone after Roman over the same appearance, saying his problem was not just Roman attending, but Roman making the event look cool to his massive fanbase. Now Cornette has jumped in, and he was a lot less polite about it.
Roman has not fired back, but the criticism keeps stacking up. What was clearly meant to be a major TKO crossover photo op has turned into another round of people calling out Reigns for where he chooses to show up. For Cornette, this was not just Roman attending an event. It was Roman giving that event his star power, and Cornette thinks he should have known better.
