WWE brought a big episode of NXT on July 14. You never know what will happen, especially when a title is on the line.
Zaria faced her biggest challenge yet as Women’s North American Champion, where she defended her title in a fatal four-way match. This was not something that she wanted to deal with this week, either.
Zaria defended her title against Nikkita Lyons, Lizzy Rain, and Izzi Dame in a Fatal 4-Way Match. The match was an impromptu addition to the show after it was announced roughly 20 minutes before it began.
Zaria entered the match looking to continue her reign, but she had three challengers standing in her way. Nikkita Lyons brought her power, Izzi Dame entered with momentum, and Lizzy Rain looked to pull off the biggest win of her career. Everyone had something to prove, and the NXT Arena was very loud for this contest.
The action quickly broke down into chaos as all four women fought for the championship. Near falls kept the crowd guessing until the closing moments. The match stretched through a commercial break as the NXT Women’s Division had a chance to showcase some serious skills.
There were several moments when it looked like we were going to have a new Women’s North American Champion. In the end, everyone had a near fall, but it was broken up.
Zaria was able to pull off the win in the end, as Jaida Parker ran down to save her from a double-team attack. Nattie and Karmen Petrovic were fought off after that.
This was quite a showcase for Zaria, and it also gave the women’s division a fantastic spotlight. It was also an interesting usage of Jaida Parker, especially after she made headlines as part of Jey Uso’s latest drama.
