Jacy Jayne walked out of the August 14 episode of WWE SmackDown with championship gold after defeating Tiffany Stratton to become the new WWE Women’s United States Champion.

The finish came after Stratton went for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, only for Jayne to get her knees up. Things then broke down at ringside when Chelsea Green pulled Fallon Henley off the apron, leading Stratton to wipe out Henley and Lainey Reid with a crossbody.

That distraction gave Jayne the opening she needed. She caught Stratton with the Rolling Encore and scored the three-count to win the title. The victory gives Jacy Jayne a major championship moment on SmackDown and puts another piece of gold around Fatal Influence.

Stratton came close to keeping the title, but one opening was all Jayne needed to steal the match and leave with the championship.
