La Catalina’s next appearance might not be inside a AAA ring, because she’s set to be at the WWE Performance Center pretty soon.
According to PWInsider, the former CMLL star is expected to be at the WWE Performance Center this week. There’s no word yet on why she’ll be there, and it’s still unknown whether the visit will lead to an appearance on NXT television.
It’s the latest step in what’s already been a busy few months for La Catalina. After leaving CMLL earlier this year, she quickly found a regular role in AAA instead of easing her way in. She immediately started working alongside names like Lady Shani, Pimpinela Escarlata, Bayley, Lola Vice and Adelicious, while repeatedly crossing paths with Las Tóxicas in one of the promotion’s ongoing rivalries. Between television tapings and live events, she has quietly become one of the promotion’s most active additions.
Now her name is popping up somewhere else. With WWE and AAA now working hand in hand, the Performance Center has become an important stop for talent moving through that relationship. La Catalina being expected there this week is another sign that WWE is continuing to bring AAA talent into the fold, even if there’s still no confirmation she’ll appear on television.
For now, that’s the only update. Whether this visit stays behind the scenes or turns into her first appearance on WWE programming is something fans will be watching closely over the coming days.
Do you think La Catalina should make her NXT debut soon, or should WWE keep building her up through AAA first? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
