AEW fans did what they always do after an Andrade El Idolo segment—they immediately started trying to figure out who the mystery woman was.
During the July 11 edition of AEW Collision, Andrade was shown living the high life aboard a yacht with a woman who snapped selfies with him, shared a drink and stood by his side while he confidently declared that he was destined to become an AEW champion. AEW never revealed her identity on the broadcast, but it didn’t stay a mystery for long.
Independent wrestler Rachel Ley took to her Instagram Story after the show and confirmed she was the woman featured alongside Andrade, putting an end to the online guessing game. Ley is one of the rising names on the independent scene, wrestling for promotions including PWJ, BST, DREAMWAVE, Uprising Women Athletes, ALW and several others as she continues building her résumé across the country.
Over the last few months, Andrade has quietly built a habit of surrounding himself with mystery women on television, only for fans to spend the next several hours figuring out who they are. Emily Jaye, Amaris Blair, Tiara James, Vile, Selena Hekate, Rebel Kel and Johnnie Robbie have all been revealed as the women featured alongside Andrade after previous appearances. Rachel Ley has now officially added her name to that list.
At this point, it’s becoming an Andrade tradition. AEW teases the appearance, fans start playing detective, and before long, another independent wrestler gets her moment in the limelight. Saturday night was Rachel Ley’s turn.
