Britt Baker’s AEW All In return was apparently about as last-minute as it gets. Despite showing up under a hood and costing Maya World the TBS Championship, Baker wasn’t even in London until the morning of the show.
Speaking on the post-All In show, Sean Ross Sapp revealed that Fightful’s earlier report about Baker being home was accurate. She wasn’t secretly hiding somewhere in London all week—she was actually still home until the day of the show.
“We reported on Friday, yo, she ain’t in London, she’s at home. And she was at home until today. This was very last minute from what I understood. Somebody yesterday told me, ‘Yo, there’s a good chance she comes in.’”
Even by Saturday, Baker’s return apparently wasn’t something people backstage were openly expecting. Sapp said he later heard she may have flown in Sunday morning and arrived at the venue around noon.
“Somebody had indicated to me that she might have got in like this morning for this show. Like this morning. Britt was not in London Wednesday, Thursday, Friday… It was intimated to me that she might have actually arrived this morning or got to the venue around noonish or so.”
Baker may have been having a little fun with everyone in the meantime. After being largely silent on Twitter and Instagram and Twitter, she suddenly became active again in the days before All In and started sharing photos she had originally posted roughly two weeks earlier while she was in Florida. There’s no confirmation that Baker was deliberately trying to throw people off, but the timing certainly made those posts useful.
Then came All In. Baker appeared during Maya World’s TBS Championship defense against Persephone, shoved Maya from the ropes while disguised in a hoodie and helped Persephone win the title. She then attacked Maya with the Lockjaw before finally pulling back the hood.
It marked Baker’s first AEW television appearance since November 2024. Turns out there wasn’t some elaborate week-long operation to hide Baker in London. She really wasn’t there—and then, within hours of arriving, she was back on AEW television and already screwing someone out of a championship.
