TNA Slammiversary 2026 went down at the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, where three of the company’s top tag teams battled for the TNA World Tag Team Championship in a chaotic Ladder Match.
The System defended the titles against The Hardys and The Righteous, with the only way to win being to climb the ladder and pull the championships down. Slammiversary is known for delivering big matches, and so are the Hardys, especially if ladders are in play.
The System walked into Slammiversary in their first reign as a team after Brian Myers and Bear Bronson defeated The Hardys to win the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Rebellion on April 11, 2026. Since then, they had managed to stay on top of the division despite having two hungry challengers waiting for their chance.
The Hardys didn’t need to earn another opportunity, as they were owed a contractual rematch after losing the titles at Rebellion. Meanwhile, The Righteous forced their way into the title picture after coming out on top in a brutal Wicked Gardens Match, giving Vincent and Dutch the biggest opportunity of their TNA run.
With three experienced teams willing to put their bodies on the line, the stage was set for one of the wildest matches of the night. Whether it was The System finding a way to hang onto the gold, The Hardys reclaiming the titles, or The Righteous completing their climb to the top, only one team would leave Boston with the championships.
The stars in this match got tables, ladders, and chairs involved in this match. They even stacked tables on top of each other, which created a looming danger around the ringside area. Then they got to battling on two ladders that were set up in the ring.
At one point, The Righteous introduced a ladder that was wrapped in flowers and barbed wire. That was a nice touch, and fans in Boston popped when they brought out that new weapon. This was a violent matchup that also saw Matt Hardy taking a swanton bomb from the Righteous as he was out on the ladder.
Everyone battled on top of the ladder and eventually took a bump off of it. Then the stacked tables were utilized and destroyed. In the end, the Hardys won the match as they climbed to the top of the ladder and claimed the titles. Boston erupted in praise for the tag team legends, and the brothers gave fans quite a show.
