GUNTHER wanted his old entrance music back for one simple reason: it made him stand out and it simply suited him more.
While speaking on the No Contest Wrestling podcast, GUNTHER explained why he brought back Symphony No. 9 In E Minor on the November 17, 2025 episode of Monday Night RAW. He said he liked the theme he used after joining the main roster, but it felt too much like standard WWE music.
“Yeah, actually, I wanted that again. When I joined the main roster, I had a new song, a new entrance music, and I liked it—but it felt very much WWE.”
GUNTHER then explained that being different has always been one of his strengths, and the classical piece helped separate him from everyone else on the roster, since no one was really using a classical piece.
“I think my strong suit was always being different from everybody else. In that environment, I felt what I had before was a part of that—it made me stand out. Nobody’s really using a classical piece.”
The Ring General also said he had used that theme for so long that it became part of his identity, which is why he wanted it back: “I had it for so long, so I developed a good feeling for it. That’s why I wanted it back. That was the simple reason for that.”
GUNTHER’s return to his classic theme instantly gave his presentation a more familiar and imposing feel. For a performer built around dominance and discipline, the classical entrance music fits the image he wants better than anything more traditional.
