Grayson Waller found another way to troll Zilla Fatu before NXT, and this time he brought the merch truck into it. Just hours before the August 25 show, Waller went looking for some merchandise and ended up walking away with a hoodie that was definitely not what it first appeared to be.
Waller uploaded the video to Instagram and started by approaching the NXT merchandise truck to see whether they had anything with his name on it, while he was still wearing Tony D’Angelo’s t-shirt. He wasn’t happy that there wasn’t any merchandise with his name on it.
Grayson: “Let’s check out the NXT merch truck. Hey, you got any Grayson Waller merchandise?”
Guy: “I don’t.”
Grayson: “Funny, no Grayson Waller merch. As much as things change, they seem to stay the same.”
With nothing bearing his own name anywhere on the merch truck, Waller decided to see whether WWE was having any better luck selling merchandise for the man he’s been going after for the past couple of weeks, Zilla Fatu.
Grayson: “Let me try this one. Two weeks in, you got any Zilla Fatu merch?”
Merch Guy: “Yeah, I have one item left.”
Grayson: “Hey, he’s doing well. What is it, a hoodie? I love a hoodie. Ooh, it feels nice. It’s perfect. Hello!”
That’s when the joke became obvious. The hoodie Waller put on read “Nympho Baby,” another shot at Fatu after he accidentally called himself that instead of a “nepo baby” during last week’s episode of NXT. Waller even finished the bit by saying “Hello!” in Fatu’s style for good measure.
This is just the latest round of Waller going after Fatu after Zilla cost him his shot at the NXT Championship on August 11. Waller already unloaded on him during the August 15 NXT live event in Petersburg, calling him a “Nepo Uce” and telling him to stay away from Tuesdays.
“So you know what you can do, Sheriff? You can acknowledge deez nuts, lad. Skip Tuesdays. Go to Monday Night Raw and carry Jacob’s bags like you were born to do.”
Fatu had interfered in Waller’s #1 contender’s match against Cruz Montana, hitting Montana with a Samoan Drop before attacking Waller and leaving the match as a no contest. That chaos ultimately landed all three men in the NXT Championship picture, with Fatu, Waller and Montana now set to challenge Tony D’Angelo in a four-way title match at NXT Heatwave.
Waller clearly isn’t waiting until Heatwave to make things personal. With the “Nympho Baby” hoodie now added to everything he’s already said about Fatu, he’s making sure Zilla hears about that slip-up for as long as possible.
