Gail Kim didn’t need to say a lot after fans noticed her name was missing from Dark Side of the Ring’s TNA episode. Her response still said plenty.

After Vice kicked off Season 7 with Jeff Jarrett & the Battle for TNA: Part 1, one fan called out the episode for discussing the birth of the Knockouts division without actually mentioning Kim by name, even though she appeared in b-roll footage.

“Maybe the biggest problem I had with the TNA Dark Side was when talking about the birth of the Knockouts division not once did they even mention the name Gail Kim. Only shown in b-roll. INSANE.”

Kim saw the post and made it clear she appreciated the support. She took to Twitter and said she remains proud of what the Knockouts division accomplished and made it clear that one edit cannot erase what that group meant to women’s wrestling.

“Thank you. I’m proud of what we accomplished, and no edit can take away the impact the Knockouts division had on women’s wrestling. I’ve noticed that speaking honestly hasn’t always been appreciated, but I won’t apologize for standing up for what I believe is right. Thanks, Garrett. 🙏”

That response hit because Kim is not just some random name from TNA history. She was one of the defining faces of the Knockouts division, helping establish it as one of the few major women’s divisions at the time that fans treated as a serious part of the show.

The Dark Side episode focused on Jeff Jarrett’s fight to build TNA during an era dominated by WWE. That story naturally included the company’s early identity and the rise of the Knockouts division, which is why fans were surprised Kim’s name did not come up directly.

Kim did not throw a full meltdown over it, but she also did not pretend she missed the point. She acknowledged the snub, reminded fans of the division’s legacy, and made it clear she is not apologizing for being honest about things she believes are right.
