Gail Kim is stepping back into the middle of the action this weekend—only this time, she’ll be the one holding the referee shirt.
Juggalo Championship Wrestling announced that the TNA Hall of Famer and former WWE star will serve as the special guest referee for Dani Mo vs. Hokane at BloodyMania 19, taking place during the Gathering of the Juggalos.
JCW is bringing Kim in because things between Dani Mo and Hokane have gotten heated, and the promotion wants somebody in the ring who isn’t going to get pushed around. Violent J made it clear that Kim was the pick because of the respect she commands.
“Gail Kim is an absolute legend who has seen and done it all in this business. When you have a rivalry as explosive and personal as Dani Mo versus Hokane, you need an authority figure who commands total respect and won’t take any backtalk from either competitor.”
He also said Kim’s presence should guarantee that things stay as fair as possible once the bell rings.
“Gail Kim is the ultimate standard of excellence, and having her in a JCW ring, in the middle of this match, guarantees a fair, hard-hitting contest.”
BloodyMania 19 will stream live on YouTube pay-per-view for $17 and features a loaded card. Caleb Konley will defend the JCW Lunacy World Championship against Kerry Morton, while the Gore Games match will see The Luciano Family, Krule and Donovan Dijak battle The JWO, with Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope coaching and Mad Man Pondo serving as special guest referee.
The show will also feature Josh Bishop, Father Bronson and Facade in a three-way match, James Storm and Cokane against Mr. Anderson and Steven Flowe, and JCW Tag Team Champions Choppa City defending against The Outbreak.
But Gail Kim stepping into the referee role gives Dani Mo vs. Hokane another layer, especially with JCW openly expecting things to get nasty.
