WWE Backstage will be a studio news show ran by FOX. This is the reason why they are discussing bringing in CM Punk. Apparently, FOX had a very bold idea for their new show, but it didn’t work out.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Jim Ross was offered a spot on WWE Backstage. It was said that this is a definite illustration to show how much of the show is actually operated under WWE’s auspices.

To show how much it’s a FOX call, Jim Ross was offered a spot on the show. Ross turned it down, for obvious reasons, but the fact he’d get an offer was telling.

WWE Backstage could be a must-see for WWE fans. Taz also reportedly auditioned for a role on the show so they are looking heavily into bringing some people into the picture that might really be able to take some deep dives into WWE news.
