Aaron Rourke is heading back to WWE Evolve, and “Sparkle City” is coming with him. The former Evolve Men’s Champion has officially been announced for the August 26, 2026 episode after spending several weeks away from the Wednesday night show.

WWE ID announced Rourke’s return on social media, identifying him as both a former champion and a current WWE ID prospect.

“The former WWE Evolve Champion and current WWE ID prospect @PerfectAaron1 returns to Evolve this week! Watch for free on Tubi!”

Rourke quickly responded to the announcement and made it clear that he is ready to bring his flashy personality back to WWE programming.

“Sparkle City is coming back to Wednesdays 💎✨ #WWEEvolve.”

WWE did not reveal Rourke’s opponent or explain what he will be doing on the show. The announcement only confirmed that he will return during this week’s episode, leaving the door open for a match, an interview or the start of his next storyline.

Rourke defeated Jackson Drake on March 18 to become the second Evolve Men’s Champion. He held the championship for 119 days before Harlem Lewis defeated him for the title on July 15. Rourke later received another opportunity during a four-way championship match involving Lewis, Tristan Angels and Maxx Abrams on August 5, but he failed to regain the gold.

The former champion now returns with Harlem Lewis still holding the title that once belonged to him. WWE has not confirmed whether Rourke will immediately resume his championship chase, but bringing him back without revealing his opponent gives fans a reason to keep an eye on Wednesday’s show. The August 26 episode of WWE Evolve begins at 8:00 PM ET and will stream for free on Tubi.

Rourke has already proven that he can reach the top of Evolve, and his return gives him another chance to force his way back into the championship picture. Whether he goes after Lewis or takes his character in a completely different direction should become clear when “Sparkle City” returns Wednesday night.
