AEW Grand Slam France is almost here, and fans have now gotten their first look at one of the show’s biggest production elements. Ahead of Dynamite from Paris, photos circulating online have revealed the stage setup AEW will be using for its debut event at the Adidas Arena.
Images making the rounds on social media show AEW going with a noticeably different entrance design than its usual television setup. Rather than the standard large video wall, the company has built a narrower entranceway that leads through a wall before opening onto the stage.
The most eye-catching part of the set is the towering scaffolding structure surrounding the entrance. The scaffolding is lined with lighting rigs, giving the stage a more industrial feel that stands out from AEW’s normal presentation and fits the special Grand Slam branding.
The unique design appears to have been created specifically for the event, making Grand Slam France feel different from a standard episode of Dynamite. With AEW running its first-ever show in France, the company seems to have put extra effort into making the presentation feel like a major international event.
The special edition of Dynamite will feature several marquee matches, including Will Ospreay defending the AEW World Championship against Kazuchika Okada, Mercedes Moné defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Queen Aminata, Darby Allin defending the TNT Championship against Kyle Fletcher, and a Clockwork Carnage qualifier between Samoa Joe and Jack Perry.
With fans already inside the Adidas Arena and the unique stage now revealed, all that’s left is for the action to begin. It’ll be interesting to see whether AEW has any other production surprises in store once the cameras go live from Paris.
