WWE fans are not happy about Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley’s ridiculously short run as Women’s Tag Team Champions. The two dropped the belts to Michin and B-Fab on the October 23 episode of SmackDown, and it didn’t take long for social media to start ripping into the decision.

Bliss and Paxley had only been champions for about two weeks, and Friday’s match was supposed to be their first successful defense. Instead, Jade Cargill got involved behind the referee’s back, punching Paxley and setting her up for Michin to hit a Styles Clash for the win.

The quick title change immediately had fans asking why WWE bothered putting the belts on Bliss and Paxley in the first place. One fan took to Twitter and made it clear that they felt WWE pulled the plug on the team way too quickly.

“Way too soon, Tatum and Alexa should’ve had them for longer.”

Another fan was confused by the entire point of the short reign. Bliss and Paxley didn’t even get one successful defense before WWE moved the championships over to Michin and B-Fab.

“So like….what was the point of Alexa and Tatum winning the belts if they couldn’t get a successful defense

What are we genuinely doing here?”

Others took aim at WWE’s handling of the Women’s Tag Team Championship scene as a whole. One fan didn’t bother sugarcoating their feelings about the division.

“WWE Tag Division is a joke.”

Another fan argued that cutting Bliss and Paxley’s run short isn’t going to help WWE build up its women’s roster. They questioned what the company was thinking by ending the reign so quickly.

“Wtf are you guys thinking. You won’t build stars this way.”

The frustration got even stronger from there. One fan called the title change the “worst decision in history” and even blamed TKO for seemingly trying to get a reaction out of viewers.

“Worst decision in history. I think TKO is literally just wanting to piss people off at this point.”

Bliss and Paxley didn’t exactly lose clean either. Paxley was setting up Cemetery Drive on Michin when Cargill punched her behind the referee’s back, allowing Michin to capitalize and score the pin to win the championships with B-Fab.

That interference gives WWE somewhere to go with Paxley and Cargill, but it hasn’t stopped fans from questioning why Bliss and Paxley needed to lose the belts so quickly. Their reign barely had time to get started before WWE pulled the trigger on another title change.

Whether WWE has a bigger plan behind the switch remains to be seen, but fans certainly aren’t waiting around to hear the explanation. After just two weeks and zero successful defenses, Bliss and Paxley’s title reign is already over, and plenty of viewers clearly aren’t thrilled about it.
