Matt Riddle is not closing the door on another MMA fight, but nobody should expect him to jump back into a cage for cheap.

While speaking to Muscleman Malcolm, Riddle admitted that his new haircut has him feeling like his old MMA self again. That said, he made it clear the whole thing comes down to money, timing, and getting a real training camp instead of rolling into a fight banged up from wrestling every weekend.

“You know, this haircut kind of makes me want to go back. Uh, right now I would love to. It’s a money thing. Right now, I make a very good penny professional wrestling. I wrestle every weekend almost. I’m steady. I’m busy with the fight. I really want to take it serious, train at least six weeks hard and not have to worry about, oh, did I get slammed through a table or my neck’s hurt? Like, I want to go into a fight 100.”

Riddle said this is not just fantasy booking either. He has already had fight offers come his way, including from BKFC and other promotions, but nothing has clicked yet. Still, Riddle sounds ready if the right call comes through. He believes he still has the body, the movement, and the skill set to step back into combat sports.

“I’ve been offered a couple fights with BKFC and other organizations, but things just didn’t align right either for me or for them, you know, or they went a different way at the time. But honestly, I’m there. If the money’s right, I got the body. I got the moves, you know. I can move them, you know.”

When Jake Paul’s MVP promotion was brought up, Riddle did not shut it down. In fact, he threw out a few possible landing spots, including Misfits, where Dillon Danis currently holds gold. Riddle even claimed he used to teach Danis how to wrestle and said he would be down for that fight.

“I think I would be a great fit for Misfits. Dillon Danis is their welterweight champion. I used to teach that kid how to wrestle. No disrespect. His jiu-jitsu is sick. But I’m me. I’d beat up everybody and I think he’s a cool dude. I think he’d be a good fight.”

The King of Bros also mentioned MVP and even the UFC while reminding everyone that he was ranked in the top 10 when he was fired at 27. Now 40, he says he has only gotten better with age.

“But also MVP, wealth of talent, you know, and I could fight there. UFC. I was ranked top 10 when I got fired at 27. I’m 40 now, but I’ve only gotten better. I’m like a fine wine. I get better with time. You know what I’m saying? So, uh, yeah dude. My door is always open. I don’t hold beefs or anything, but at the end of the day, the numbers have to make sense. Dollars have to make sense.”

So there it is. Matt Riddle is interested, the offers have already been there, and he has names and promotions in mind. But unless someone backs up the truck and gives him time to train properly, he is staying busy making money in pro wrestling.
