Sirena Linton’s next stop after WWE has finally been revealed. After months of teasing fans about where “Miss Spicy” would show up next, the former WWE star has stepped into a Ring of Honor ring.
Linton made her ROH debut during the September 29 ROH TV tapings at WJCT Studios, where she squared off against ROH Women’s World Champion Athena in a Proving Grounds match. While the match itself marked her first appearance for the promotion, it also gave Linton the biggest opportunity she’s had since becoming a free agent earlier this year.
The appearance comes after Linton spent the past few months keeping fans guessing about her future after her WWE release. During a Q&A on her YouTube channel, she was asked whether AEW or TNA would be next, but she wasn’t ready to give anything away.
“Will you be going to AEW or TNA? You’ll just have to tune in.”
Linton’s ROH debut doesn’t answer every question about what’s next, but it does give fans their first real look at where her post-WWE journey is headed. Whether this turns into more ROH appearances or eventually leads to a full-time deal remains to be seen, but competing with someone like Athena is about as strong a first impression as she could ask for.
