Justin Credible has spent years being accused of stiffing people, no-showing bookings and leaving promoters with problems. Now he says there’s another side to at least one of those stories—because one promoter allegedly stiffed him.
While speaking on Monte & The Pharaoh, Credible opened up about the reputation that has followed him and why he’s stopped giving much attention to people who criticize him. For Credible, part of the problem is how quickly people in wrestling will go after someone when they’re already struggling.
“These people just are pariah. They look to hit people when they’re down. Like they take advantage of any—dude, if you go back, I have 30 years in this business. I don’t talk s***about anybody because we all have ups and downs.”
Then one particular promoter came up: Scott Wilder. Credible claims Wilder owed him $200 from a wrestling show and never paid him. He also says he didn’t go online, call him out or make the situation public.
Justin Credible: “And do I ever once—ever once get—oh, and that’s funny you say that. That promoter, that show—what’s his name? Scott something, right? Scott Wilson or something? Scott Wilder. He owed me $200. Scott Wilder. He stiffed me $200 that day, right? I didn’t say anything to him about it.”
That apparently wasn’t the end of it. Credible says Wilder later texted him after hearing that he was doing better.
“He had the—now that I’m doing good, just because it was mentioned—he had the balls to text me. He said, ‘Oh, I hear you’re doing good.’”
That’s where Credible sees the hypocrisy. He claims he could quietly accept not getting paid $200, yet his own behavior could be picked apart and turned into another story about why he was supposedly the problem.
“I don’t complain when they don’t, you know, they don’t pay me money they’re supposed to. That’s okay. But because my behavior might not be to your liking, and I’m not being a d**k. I’m just simply stepping out to smoke a cigarette. I’m the bad guy.”
That frustration carries considerably more weight considering what has been said about Credible publicly. Back in March 2025, Maven Huffman revealed that a source he trusted had told him Credible was allegedly no-showing commitments and borrowing money without repaying it.
Maven had previously given his former WWE co-worker the benefit of the doubt, but admitted the information made him question whether Credible had actually changed. Credible has clearly heard enough of those stories.
“It’s a warped world, man. People could flip the script. I’m just not gonna sit here and even think about that stuff because that stuff will drive you mad. You know, it is so twisted. You know, and in 30 years, if that’s all people could come up with, God bless. I salute, dude. You know, they’re so worthless to me, all of it.”
Credible isn’t trying to chase down every person who has something negative to say about him anymore. He says he’s rebuilding his life, focusing on staying positive and leaving the rest behind.
“I just try to put my best foot forward. There are a lot of great people in this business, and I just have to stay positive and be positive. There’s so much more to it. You know, when you step back and you see, it’s actually kind of funny. I don’t take any of that s*** personally, you know.”
Credible has spent years being the punchline whenever missed bookings and unpaid money come up. He’s heard it all and lived through it. Now that he says his life is finally moving in the right direction, he has no interest in going backward just to fight with everyone who still sees the old Justin Credible.
