Gable Steveson’s night at UFC 331 didn’t just end with him getting knocked out in 12 seconds — it ended with the ex-WWE star getting showered with boos as he made a fast exit from the cage.
After Sean Sharaf flattened Steveson with one left hook, Steveson didn’t hang around for the winner’s announcement or the celebration. He immediately started making his way out while boos rained down from the crowd, turning an already brutal loss into an even uglier scene.
Video from cageside shows Steveson heading toward the back almost immediately after the stoppage. Sharaf was still inside the Octagon waiting for the result to be announced while the crowd let Steveson hear it on his way out.
The reaction came after one of the most shocking finishes of the night. Steveson entered UFC 331 unbeaten at 4-0, but Sharaf needed only 12 seconds to hand him the first loss of his professional MMA career.
There was no time for Steveson to get his wrestling going or settle into the fight. Sharaf connected with a left hook almost immediately, and that was all it took to completely derail the former Olympic gold medalist’s momentum.
Steveson had been riding high after destroying Elisha Ellison in the first round of his UFC debut, but UFC 331 went the exact opposite direction. Instead of another dominant win, Steveson got knocked out almost instantly and then booed as he walked away from the cage.
The crowd reaction made the scene even more savage. Steveson didn’t wait around to hear Sharaf declared the winner, and fans made sure his exit came with a loud soundtrack of their own.
