Luke Gallows made an unexpected appearance at AEW this week—just not in front of the cameras.

According to PWInsider, Luke Gallows was backstage at Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite and Collision tapings in Nashville, marking a rare AEW sighting for the former WWE and NJPW star. The report did not indicate that Gallows appeared on the show or that he was involved in any creative plans. Instead, it simply noted that he was present backstage during the tapings.

It was added that Gallows has longstanding relationships with several key names currently in AEW, including The Young Bucks, Rocky Romero and Kazuchika Okada, making his visit less surprising given his connections within the company.

Gallows has not wrestled in an AEW ring since the September 1, 2021, episode of Dynamite, where he teamed with Karl Anderson and The Young Bucks to defeat Jurassic Express in an eight-man tag team match.

After that run, Gallows and Anderson returned to WWE, where they remained until being released as part of the company’s roster cuts. Since then, The Good Brothers have continued competing around the world while remaining active on the independent wrestling scene.

At this point, there is no indication that Gallows’ backstage appearance is connected to a future AEW return or a new deal with the promotion. However, his presence at the Nashville tapings is certain to get people talking, given his history with the company and his close friendships with several members of the AEW roster.

Would you like to see Luke Gallows return to AEW alongside Karl Anderson, or do you think The Good Brothers should stay on the independent scene? Let us know in the comments below.
