Ethan Page has another problem with Chad Gable, and this time it has nothing to do with who gets the next Intercontinental Championship match.
While speaking with Renae, Page was already unloading on Gable over the way he has handled his title reign. Page accused Gable of handing out opportunities to people he thinks don’t deserve them, taking easier matches and pretending to be a good guy while doing it.
Then Page turned his attention to something Gable said on Monday Night Raw about The Honky Tonk Man, and that clearly rubbed him the wrong way. Page claimed Gable tried to throw the former Intercontinental Champion under the bus before firing off a shot of his own.
“Oh, I know. And so, you know who else did a lot better than Chad? The Honky Tonk man, who Chad Gable tried to throw under the bus on Monday Night Raw.”
Page wasn’t done. He called Gable’s comment disrespectful and made it clear he has a much higher opinion of The Honky Tonk Man’s place in WWE history. Page then used the moment to take one more shot at Gable personally, saying the comment showed exactly what kind of person he believes the current champion really is.
“What a disparaging thing to say about one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions of all time in the history of the WWE.”
“That just shows who he is, what type of person he is.”
This all came during a much larger rant from Page about Gable’s run with the Intercontinental Championship. Page made it clear he thinks Gable has been picking his spots, handing out title shots and keeping tougher challengers away from the belt.
Now Page is even dragging Gable’s treatment of WWE legends into the argument. Page clearly isn’t interested in playing nice while Gable has the championship he wants. At this point, every move Gable makes seems to give Page another reason to come after him, and the Intercontinental Title picture is getting more personal by the week.
