Elayna Black believes she couldn’t have picked a better moment to join TNA Wrestling.

Speaking on the Hitting The Turnbuckle Podcast, Black reflected on her debut during TNA’s first show on AMC and revealed that discussions with the company actually started before she knew anything about the television deal.

Once she learned TNA was heading to AMC, Black felt even more confident that she was making the right move. While discussing the opportunity, Black explained that the move to a major television network felt like a fresh start for both herself and the promotion.

“100%. It was also the day after my birthday, so it was like a little birthday present for me. But 100%. I was very, very excited. I was already in kind of talks with TNA before I even knew about AMC. So, you know, seeing that it was AMC, I was like, well, this is going to be great. You know, it’s going to be a great fresh start. I feel like I can add a lot to the show and I was excited to be able to do that and be able to be a surprise. And I think it turned out I think it turned out well. I don’t think anybody even had a clue. So, which was my goal.”

Black’s excitement wasn’t just about her own debut. She revealed that she had been a fan of TNA dating back to its Spike TV days and spent years hoping to see the company thrive. As someone who grew up watching the promotion every week, seeing TNA land another major television platform was something she genuinely celebrated.

“And I was just very excited for TNA because I was a TNA fan when I was a kid. I remember watching on when they had the Spike TV deal and I was watching every Thursday. I loved TNA.”

Black went on to explain that she believes AMC gives TNA a much broader audience and provides the company with an opportunity to continue growing. She admitted she was proud to see the promotion secure a television home that is widely available and recognizable to viewers.

“So, you know, it was a little bit harder to watch for a few years. You know, not everyone had that channel and or could access TNA app and everything like that. So, seeing, you know, hearing that they were getting at least some type of a TV deal, I was very, you know, just proud to hear because I was always a TNA fan. I always rooted for TNA. I always wanted TNA to succeed.”

Black also made it clear that she feels she arrived at exactly the right moment in the company’s history as TNA enters a new chapter on AMC.

“I think it’s a perfect spot for TNA. And, you know, watch a movie and then, you know, watch wrestling or watch wrestling and then watch a movie. You know, it’s the perfect channel and, you know, I’m very proud of TNA. I’m very proud to be a part of it and I think I came at the perfect time and hopefully I’m adding, you know, to the brand and, you know, helping helping succeed and hopefully keep keep the TV deals coming in for years to come.”

Black has quickly become one of the featured names in TNA’s Knockouts division, and her comments show just how invested she is in the company’s future. Between her childhood connection to the promotion and her belief in its current direction, she sees the AMC era as an opportunity for both TNA and herself to reach new heights.
