EC3 still hasn’t returned to TNA months after disappearing from television, but apparently the door isn’t completely closed. Asked directly whether he is officially finished with the company, EC3 revealed there is still “discourse” going on and left his future open.
While speaking to Markyd123, EC3 wasn’t initially asked about a potential return. A caller simply wanted his thoughts on TNA, and EC3 immediately went back to the last time fans saw him there—getting absolutely destroyed by Eric Young.
“I don’t know, man. Last time I saw it, I got my neck driven through a steel chair and a table via piledriver by Eric Young, man.”
EC3 joked that the way things ended has actually made him think about showing up again and getting his hands on Young. Unfortunately for EC3, the guy he wants revenge on isn’t there anymore, since Young left the company.
“So, like, you know, I’ve been really thinking about getting my hands back on him and showing up there and really giving him the old—but then he’s not there.”
That naturally led to the bigger question: is EC3 officially done with TNA? Instead of closing the door, the former TNA World Champion made it pretty clear that things aren’t that simple at all.
“I’m never officially done with anything. So there are definitely, let’s say, there’s discourse always. We shall see.”
That answer is especially interesting because EC3 was originally expected back months ago. It was reported in June that the belief was he would return after TNA’s Slammiversary storylines played out, but Slammiversary came and went without EC3 showing up.
His last TNA appearance remains the May 8 iMPACT, where Eric Young defeated him in a brutal No Disqualification Match. EC3 had only returned at Rebellion shortly before that, making his disappearance after such a quick comeback even more noticeable.
Whatever happened to the original plan, EC3 clearly isn’t calling his TNA run finished. He may not have given fans a return date, but admitting there’s still “discourse” at least gives them a reason to keep an eye out for him.
