Marie Malenko is getting another WWE makeover before her developmental run really gets rolling. The daughter of wrestling legend Dean Malenko was introduced back in May under the name Lacey Simon, but that identity is already being scrapped.

According to False Finish, Marie will now go by Kenzie in WWE. That means WWE has already changed her ring name just months after officially announcing her as part of its newest Performance Center class.

Marie already had wrestling experience before joining WWE, including competing for Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan after attending a WWE tryout earlier this year. Her signing also got extra attention because of her father, with Dean Malenko still considered one of the most respected technical wrestlers of his generation and currently working behind the scenes for AEW.

WWE originally announced Marie alongside Mason Rook, Nicole Martinez and Marcus Brown as part of the company’s latest Performance Center group. At the time, WWE presented her as Lacey Simon. Now that name is gone before fans ever really got used to it. Kenzie will now be the name to watch as WWE continues developing the next generation of talent at the Performance Center.

What do you think of WWE changing Marie Malenko’s name again so quickly? Let us know what you think and leave your feedback below.
