About Dax Harwood
Dax Harwood, born David Michael Harwood on June 30, 1984, in Whiteville, North Carolina, is a professional wrestler best known for his role as one half of the tag team FTR, alongside Cash Wheeler. Harwood is celebrated for his classic wrestling style, technical skill, and strong storytelling abilities in the ring.
Harwood’s career began on the independent circuit where he developed his craft before signing with WWE. During his tenure in WWE, Harwood, then known as Scott Dawson, formed a tag team with Cash Wheeler (then known as Dash Wilder). Together, they became known as The Revival, a team that harkened back to the traditional, no-nonsense style of tag team wrestling. Their work was critically acclaimed, capturing the NXT Tag Team Championships and later the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships, earning a reputation for their solid, mat-based wrestling and excellent match psychology.
In 2020, Harwood and Wheeler left WWE and joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as FTR. They quickly made an impact, capturing the AEW World Tag Team Championships and engaging in feuds with some of the top teams in the promotion. Harwood’s approach to wrestling emphasizes technique and teamwork, often paying homage to classic wrestling styles, which has resonated well with fans seeking a break from the high-flying norm.
Beyond the ring, Harwood is vocal about his respect for the history of wrestling and is considered a student of the game, often discussing the influence of past wrestling legends on his style and approach. His dedication to preserving traditional wrestling techniques while adapting to modern dynamics makes him a unique and respected figure in professional wrestling.
As he continues to compete at a high level, Dax Harwood remains a key figure in the tag team division, with his commitment to quality wrestling and storytelling earning him both respect and admiration from fans and peers alike.
