Darby Allin has a new challenger coming for his TNT Championship, and the match is already official for next week’s AEW Dynamite. During the AEW Collision episode of October 24, 2026, Josh Alexander made it clear that he wants championship gold around his waist. Now he’ll get his opportunity when he faces Allin on October 28 at AEW Dynamite: Fright Night.
Alexander made his intentions known after picking up a dominant victory over Blade Brown on Collision. The Don Callis Family member wasted little time putting Brown away, finishing him with an ankle lock before grabbing a microphone and delivering a message about his faction’s growing dominance.
Alexander praised Don Callis for assembling what he believes is the most dominant faction in professional wrestling. He also pointed to the group’s upcoming involvement in Blood & Guts, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle’s issues with the Young Bucks, and Kazuchika Okada holding the AEW International Championship.
But Alexander wasn’t satisfied with watching his teammates collect opportunities. He wanted a championship of his own, and he specifically called out TNT Champion Darby Allin for a match at Fright Night Dynamite. Alexander also made another promise. If he beats Allin for the TNT Championship, he intends to defend the title against Adam Copeland, putting even more pressure on the champion heading into Wednesday.
That brought Copeland out to confront Alexander and the Don Callis Family. Alexander and Trent Beretta initially retreated from the ring, leaving Rocky Romero to take a spear. Beretta then returned and suffered the same fate, but things quickly turned against Copeland when Mark Davis and Jake Doyle arrived and attacked him before Alexander could get his own spear.
AEW later confirmed that Allin will defend the TNT Championship against Alexander on the October 28 edition of Dynamite: Fright Night, taking place in St. Louis, Missouri.
With the Don Callis Family already causing problems for Copeland and Allin, Wednesday’s title match could have consequences beyond the championship itself. Alexander wants to bring another title into the faction, and he has made it clear that Copeland is already on his radar.
