Scott Hall’s son Cody Hall didn’t just grow up in the shadow of a wrestling icon — according to Dana Hall, father and son were actually partying together at one point, and she says that included drinking, drugs and trips to topless bars.

Dana made the revelation while speaking on Monte & The Pharaoh during a much larger conversation about Cody’s life, his wrestling career and how difficult it was for him to follow in Scott’s footsteps.

The discussion started with Dana explaining just how hard it was for Cody to carry the Hall name while trying to build his own career. She said Scott himself had acknowledged that Cody had the tools to succeed, but the baggage attached to his famous last name made things much more complicated.

“I mean, very hard. I mean, Scott says it in one of his interviews that he has everything that it takes except for his father’s last name, you know, because at that point, Scott had made kind of like, you know, he was more infamous than he was famous because he was always getting into trouble. So, that was hard for him.”

Then Dana dropped the part that changed the entire conversation. She said Cody and Scott had a rocky relationship — and claimed there were stretches where the two were drinking and using drugs together.

“And I know that Cody, him and Cody had tumultuous things going on all the time and they would drink and drug together and then they wouldn’t and they would, you know, Cody is so much like him so it was really hard.”

That immediately stopped the hosts in their tracks. One of them asked Dana directly if she was saying Scott Hall was actually partying with his own son. Dana didn’t hesitate, saying “Oh yeah.” She then went further, saying the two would go out together and even hit topless bars. Dana also said Cody had lived with Scott at different points, while making it clear Cody was an adult during that period.

“They would go places. They would go to topless bars together and stuff like that.”

“I’m pretty sure Cody lived with them several times.”

The hosts were clearly floored by what they were hearing, with one struggling to even imagine that kind of father-son dynamic. The revelation hits even harder because Dana had already spent much of the interview discussing Scott’s long battle with alcohol and drugs. Now, according to her, some of those same habits eventually became something he shared with his own son.

Dana also made it clear that Cody’s path after wrestling hasn’t been easy. She said his career was derailed by a serious injury and described him as someone who has struggled to find his place since then.

Scott Hall’s demons were never exactly a secret, but Dana’s story adds a much more personal layer to it. This wasn’t just about what happened on the road with other wrestlers — she says those problems eventually followed Scott straight into his relationship with Cody.
