Cruz Montana wasted no time making an impact on WWE’s main roster, and now he’s making it clear that he didn’t get there by accident.

Montana made his surprise WWE RAW debut on November 2, revealing himself as the masked man who attacked Roman Reigns and helped 946 destroy The Bloodline. It was a huge moment for the former AEW and TNA star, who went from working his way through NXT to taking out one of WWE’s biggest names.

On November 3, Montana took to Twitter to respond to a post from WrestleTales praising his journey. The original post pointed out how Montana left AEW, worked his way through TNA, transformed his physique, and eventually made it to WWE’s main roster.

“Not gonna lie, Cruz Montana is the very example of hardwork pays off.

Dude left his comfort zone as a tag team player, left AEW, worked his ass off at TNA, upped his physique, humble enough work NXT and now he’s in a PLE MAIN EVENT against Roman 🔥…”

Montana clearly appreciated the recognition, but instead of getting into a long explanation about his journey, he kept his response simple. He told people never to let anyone convince them they can’t accomplish something, while making it clear that he has always been willing to bet on himself.

“NEVER let anyone say you can’t do it.

You see the vision.

You put in the WORK.

YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN!

I’ll bet on myself every day of the week.”

That’s a pretty fitting message considering where Montana was just a few years ago. After leaving AEW, he continued building his career in TNA before eventually landing in NXT. Now he’s standing alongside 946 and going straight after Roman Reigns.

His RAW debut also came with a major change in direction. Montana had been presented as a babyface in NXT, but his first appearance on the main roster immediately established him as a heel. WWE didn’t bother easing him into things either, putting him directly into the closing angle of the show.

With The Bloodline and 946 seemingly headed toward a major showdown at Survivor Series, Montana could find himself in another huge spot before the month is over.

For Montana, the timing of his message says plenty. He spent years working to get to this point, and now he’s finally getting the kind of opportunity that can change a wrestler’s career. What he does with it is going to be the real test.
