Things got seriously disturbing for Roxanne Perez this weekend after a fan’s obsession spiraled so far out of control that people across X began reporting his account—and it didn’t stay online for long.
The user, identified as James Stephenson, spent days posting bizarre messages claiming Perez was secretly in love with him, insisting she’d eventually leave boyfriend Drake Morreaux, and even claiming he knew where she lived. By the time screenshots of his posts started spreading, fans weren’t laughing—they were urging people to report the account before something worse happened.
Stephenson tried to convince people his fantasy was real by posting a photo of himself with Perez from what appeared to be a fan meet-and-greet.
“Here is the proof that I have met Roxanne. And she does love me and plan to leave Drake for me.”
Then things took an even darker turn. In another post, he claimed he had Perez’s address and threatened to show up if she ignored him.
“I have her address so if she doesn’t respond to me I’m going there.”
It didn’t stop there. Stephenson also made a disturbing comment about Morreaux, bizarrely saying he hoped Perez’s boyfriend would assault her because it would somehow make her realize they belonged together.
“I need Drake to beat her so she realises we’re supposed to be together.”
His obsession spilled over into Perez’s on-screen appearances as well. After photos of Roxanne with Liv Morgan surfaced online, Stephenson lashed out again.
“Liv shouldn’t be touching Roxanne like that, she is mine 😡.”
In another post, he complained that Perez should be with him instead of Morreau: “She should be with me instead of him.”
As screenshots of the messages spread, wrestling fans flooded the replies calling the account creepy, dangerous and genuinely frightening. The posts racked up more than 170,000 views, with countless users urging others to report the profile over concerns that the situation had crossed far beyond ordinary fan behavior. Not long afterwards, the account was suspended.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time Perez has found herself dealing with alleged stalkers. Last year, another account caused alarm after posting what it claimed was her home address while making violent posts directed at the WWE star. This latest incident has only led to more concerns over the safety of wrestlers who become the targets of obsessive online behavior.
For now, Stephenson’s account is gone—but judging by the reaction online, many fans believe the suspension couldn’t have come soon enough.
