He does admit that a Shield reunion could have waited until they had a more serious threat than The Miz and his partners. He says that perhaps an NXT invasion would have been a suitable time for a Shield reunion, or WWE could have debuted another formidable faction who would have gotten a rub from working with The Shield.
Ryback comments on NXT’s signing of Shayna Baszler. Ryback congratulates Baszler and he wishes her the best of luck as she begins training at the Performance Centre. He points out that it’s very difficult to transition from MMA to professional wrestling, and there are a limited amount of people who have made that transition successfully. Hopefully Baszler can add her name to that short list.
Marie asks Ryback if he’d ever consider transitioning into a MMA career in order to fight for UFC. Ryback says that if he had to do that in order to make a living he would, but he’s in a position now where he doesn’t have to work for anyone anymore. He doesn’t see any point in risking his health in order to compete in MMA at this point in his life.
