Cody Rhodes is fully embracing his role as Guile ahead of the upcoming Street Fighter movie. Instead of simply promoting the film online, Rhodes showed up in character during UFC 332, giving fans another look at his live-action transformation.
The American Nightmare attended UFC 332 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he appeared wearing Guile’s iconic blond flat-top wig while promoting the upcoming film. Rhodes is set to play the iconic Street Fighter character in the upcoming live-action movie, and he leaned into the role throughout the event. Fans in attendance spotted Rhodes enthusiastically taking in the fights while staying in character.
Rhodes was also seen spending time with LL Cool J, with the two posing for photos together during the event. His appearance quickly became one of the night’s memorable celebrity moments, thanks in large part to his epic Guile look.
It’s another example of TKO using its UFC platform to help promote WWE stars outside the wrestling ring. Earlier this year, The Bella Twins attended UFC Noche in Arizona as part of the company’s ongoing crossover efforts between WWE and UFC, and now Rhodes has taken that crossover a step further by using a UFC event to promote his Hollywood project.
Bottom line: With Street Fighter promotion ramping up, don’t be surprised if this isn’t the last time fans see Rhodes showing up as Guile before the movie hits theaters.
