Cody Rhodes is apparently keeping receipts when it comes to which wrestlers supported his new Street Fighter movie. The WWE star admitted he’s been paying close attention to who showed up, who promoted the film and, more importantly, who didn’t.

Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Cody was discussing his Hollywood career when the conversation shifted to Seth Rollins and the No-Contest Wrestling podcast. Cody said he’d be willing to appear on the show, although he wondered whether Rollins might feel a certain way about it given their history.

That led Cody into a much broader point about wrestlers supporting each other’s success outside the ring. While wrestlers might say they want to see their peers succeed, Cody believes the real test comes when it’s actually time to show that support.

“You could be, but also, Seth—wrestlers always tell each other how much they want each other to do great, but then in those moments, they don’t necessarily support. Seth showed up at the Street Fighter premiere. He’s a real one. He’s a real one. And trust me, I kept track of who showed up, who didn’t, who posted, you know, who didn’t show up.”

When asked whether he really had a list of people who didn’t post about Street Fighter, Cody confirmed it without hesitation. He also admitted there was more than a little pettiness involved: “Oh, yeah.”

Cody then explained why the lack of support bothered him so much. With three wrestlers involved in Street Fighter, he sees the movie’s success as something that could help move the entire wrestling industry forward rather than simply benefiting him.

“Oh, deep pettiness. Deep. Because, I mean, there’s three wrestlers in this movie, and you can’t throw up a, ‘Hey, go see this thing, guys’? What are we doing? We’re trying to move the ball forward.”

Cody made it clear that he views the opportunity as something that can benefit everybody in wrestling. At the same time, he jokingly acknowledged that he’s obviously getting a little extra out of the movie doing well.

“It’s for everybody. And yeah, is it a little better for me? Sure.”

Cody didn’t name any of the wrestlers who landed on the wrong side of his list, so he’s keeping that part to himself for now. Rollins, however, clearly isn’t one of them after making the effort to attend the premiere despite the complicated history between the two WWE stars.

The “deep pettiness” might have been delivered with a laugh, but Cody’s bigger point was pretty clear. He sees wrestlers landing major Hollywood opportunities as something that can open doors for the entire industry, and he’s definitely noticing who actually supports those opportunities when they happen.
