CM Punk apparently couldn’t let Fatal Influence have their championship photoshoot without inserting himself into the picture.
Jacy Jayne became the new WWE Women’s United States Champion after defeating Tiffany Stratton on last week’s episode of SmackDown, giving Fatal Influence even more gold to show off. Jayne joined Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid backstage for a championship photoshoot, and Punk decided that was his cue to crash the party and pose with the trio.
Fatal Influence has been making noise on the main roster since arriving on the April 24 episode of SmackDown, when they interrupted Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Brie Bella and Paige.
Henley and Reid then captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships by defeating Paige and Brie Bella at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18. The group followed that up at SummerSlam Night 1 on August 1, defeating Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Paige in a six-woman tag team match.
Now Jayne has added the Women’s United States Championship to the collection, meaning Fatal Influence is walking around SmackDown covered in gold. Punk may not be part of the faction, but he certainly wasn’t going to miss the chance to get into the championship photo.
