CM Punk made sure Roxanne Perez received a special birthday message this year, and he couldn’t resist poking a little fun at her height while celebrating the WWE Superstar turning 25 years old.
On November 5, 2026, Punk took to his Instagram Stories and shared a photo of himself alongside Perez, who was smiling while holding an iced coffee. The former NXT Women’s Champion has developed a close relationship with Punk over the years, and his birthday message made it clear that their playful friendship is still going strong. Punk referred to Perez as his shortest daughter before delivering a hilarious wish involving her ability to reach snacks.
“Happy birthday to my shortest daughter may all the snacks be on lower reachable shelving.”
Of course, Punk and Perez aren’t actually father and daughter. The two have developed a mentor-student relationship since Punk returned to WWE in November 2023. Perez has openly discussed growing up idolizing Punk and his wife, AJ Lee, and the relationship has become so close that Punk is often referred to as her wrestling dad, while Lee has embraced being her wrestling mom.
Punk has also taken an active interest in Perez’s WWE career. During her time in NXT, he regularly attended events, watched matches and offered feedback to younger talent. Perez has repeatedly credited him for helping her develop as a performer, including giving her advice about ignoring negativity on social media.
This isn’t the first time Punk has used Perez’s birthday to have some fun. In November 2025, he wished her a happy birthday while jokingly telling her to stop hanging around Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio. One year later, Punk has traded warnings about Dominik Mysterio for jokes about Perez’s height. Their friendship has clearly remained an entertaining part of their lives outside the ring, and Punk’s latest birthday message shows that he’s still having plenty of fun playing the role of her wrestling dad.
