CM Punk isn’t pretending he played it safe during this feud with Roman Reigns.

During his conversation with Corey Graves, Punk was asked directly whether he believed he crossed the line during promos involving Roman’s family. Instead of backing off, Punk admitted he did it — and said it was part of the plan. Punk made it clear that pushing boundaries is something he does on purpose.

“I 100% crossed the line, because that's what I do. I am a gold medalist, habitual line stepper, because I will (beep) with you, I will get in your head.”

Even with that confidence, Punk admitted the situation didn’t feel great.

“Legitimately feel a little bit gross about it, 'cause it's low hanging fruit and I know I'm better than that, but I'm doing what I have to, and I'm following my game plan.”

That admission makes it clear Punk sees this feud as more than emotional — it’s strategic. Instead of reacting in the moment, Punk is treating the rivalry like psychological warfare, pushing limits to gain an advantage before WrestleMania. With tensions rising, moments like this show how far Punk is willing to go to stay one step ahead.
