Chris Jericho is not just stacking up wrestling moments right now. He is also putting together a serious run in Hollywood, and he made it clear that his year away from the ring was anything but quiet.

During his conversation with Renee Paquette, Jericho talked about his acting work and revealed that he has several projects lined up. The topic came up after they discussed his appearance in Margo’s Got Money Troubles, where Jericho said he originally auditioned for the role of Jinx, Margo’s father, before that part went to Nick Offerman. Jericho said he did not land that role, but the people behind the show still liked him enough to write him into the series.

“I auditioned for the role of of of Jinx of Margo’s dad. Yeah. That they gave to Nick Offerman. He’s only an Emmy award winner. Whatever, brother. But they really liked my audition. I auditioned for this really high-end casting director, and it’s like, we’re not going to cast you for Jinx, but but we want to get you involved.”

Jericho said he was not claiming the scene was specifically created for him from the start, but he made it clear they found a way to include him after that audition.

“Not saying they wrote that scene for me, but they wrote me into that scene and that was a really cool moment because, you know, I’m playing myself.”

Jericho also explained that the production originally considered giving him a character name, but he suggested that playing himself would make more sense and add legitimacy to the scene.

“They wanted to give it a name and then they thought maybe you should play yourself. I said, why don’t you make it myself? Make it like Curb Your Enthusiasm where there’s real life people and there’s also characters. Yeah. Because it gives it some legitimacy that Jericho was in it.”

Then Renee asked whether Jericho had any other acting gigs coming up, and that is when Jericho pulled back the curtain on the next wave of his screen work. Jericho first pointed to Dexter, saying that his involvement had already leaked because paparazzi caught the production filming in New York City.

“I do. Yeah, I do. I was just on Dexter. That was kind of uh that was kind of uh released by the paparazzi that were on the streets of New York City when we did a scene outside.”

He then said he also has a role in a major upcoming series, though he did not name the show. Jericho would only say that it is produced by Michael B. Jordan.

“So, that that’s coming up. And then I have a really big um not a big part, it’s a really good part in a big series that’s coming out very soon. Uh that I’m not going to say what it is, but it’s produced by Michael B. Jordan.”

Renee reacted by saying they would need to do a follow-up after Jericho gets to spend more time around Michael B. Jordan. Jericho then added that he also appeared on Tracker.

“And then I did Tracker, which was a big show on CBS, which is another show that I didn’t realize how big it was.”

“So I had four really big parts in a row, which creates a little bit of a buzz. So, that’s kind of cool on that aspect as well.”

Jericho’s acting schedule gives a better picture of what he was doing while away from AEW. He was not sitting around waiting to come back. He was landing television work, building connections, and putting himself in front of a whole different audience.

Now that Jericho is back in AEW and still taking Hollywood roles, he clearly has no plans to slow down. Whether he is cutting promos, working matches, showing up on Dexter, or teasing a Michael B. Jordan-produced project, Jericho is keeping his plate full.
