WWE Monday Night RAW took place on July 13, 2026, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The show featured a high-stakes Gauntlet Match to determine the next challenger for Penta’s Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. Seven Superstars stepped into the ring with a title opportunity on the line.
Chad Gable, Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, Joe Hendry, Dominik Mysterio, Ethan Page, and Rusev all competed in the match. Each Superstar entered with hopes of surviving the field and punching their ticket to one of WWE’s biggest events of the year. Only one competitor could earn the opportunity.
Dominik Mysterio and Joe Hendry started this match, and then Dirty Dom got the pinfall. Je’Von Evans got his chance next. Danhausen came out to cause a distraction for Dom, which allowed Evans to get a pinfall on him to move with Dragon Lee as his next opponent. After they traded a lot of high-impact moves, Evans got the clean roll-up pin on Dragon Lee before Rusev joined the match.
Rusev ambushed Je’Von Evans, which allowed him to treat the Young OG like a ragdoll for a bit. Finally, Rusev latched on the Accolade, and the referee called for Je’Von Evans to be taken out of the match. Chad Gable ran down after that, and fans were excited to see him.
Chad Gable was able to pull off the win over Rusev, and then he turned his attention to Ethan Page. However, Rusev got an Accolade on because he is a sore loser. After a nice back-and-forth match, Gable was able to overcome All Ego’s heel tactics and pull down the win and secure a match at SummerSlam for the IC Title.
Only time will tell if Chad Gable pulls down his first singles title in WWE at SummerSlam. He has certainly worked hard and seen a lot of stories in the company. Penta will have a very tough match waiting for him in August.
