Carmelo Hayes has finally broken his silence after shocking WWE fans by aligning himself with 946 on Monday Night RAW, and judging by his first public comments, he has no regrets about picking a side.
Hayes took to Instagram following his surprise return and made it clear he’s embracing his new alliance. Instead of explaining why he joined Bronco Nima, Lucien Price and Royce Keys, Hayes kept things short and sent a warning to the rest of WWE.
“The reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Ain’t Nobody Safe 😈 #946”
The post comes less than 24 hours after Hayes resurfaced on WWE TV for the first time in weeks. Just when Solo Sikoa looked ready to put away Royce Keys in the main event, Hayes appeared out of nowhere, blasted Solo from behind with a tire iron and helped 946 leave Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Solo laid out to close the show.
Hayes had been off WWE television since August following his loss to Baron Corbin, leading plenty of fans to wonder what WWE had planned for him. A backstage report later claimed his move to 946 had actually been in the works since July, suggesting his absence wasn’t random at all.
Now that Hayes has publicly embraced the faction, it looks like there’s no turning back. Instead of teasing his motives or explaining his decision, he seems perfectly happy letting his actions—and his new teammates—do the talking.
