Caleb Konley is the new JCW World Champion, and the finish had Vince Russo written all over it.

During the June 18 episode of JCW Lunacy, Konley defeated Cokane in the main event to capture the JCW World Title. The match already had plenty of heat, but things really went off the rails when Russo stormed the ring with a baseball bat and changed the whole match.

Cokane initially had the situation under control. Russo rushed down with the bat, but Cokane clocked him before he could do any real damage. That gave Konley the opening he needed, but Cokane still tried to fight through it.

Cokane powered out and eventually locked Konley in a sharpshooter. It looked like he might be moments away from surviving the chaos and walking out with the title still around his waist. The problem was, the distractions kept coming.

With the sharpshooter locked in, Cokane got pulled away from finishing the job after Steven Flow distracted him. That was the mistake Konley needed.

Russo then slid the baseball bat into the ring, and Konley did the rest. Konley cracked Cokane in the head with the bat, went for the cover, and got the three count to win the JCW World Championship. That was it. Cokane’s title run ended after a full-blown ringside mess, and Konley left JCW Lunacy with the gold.

The win gives Konley a massive moment in JCW, but the way it happened is going to follow him immediately. Cokane had the match in his hands before Russo, Steven Flow, and that baseball bat flipped everything upside down.

In the end, Caleb Konley is the new JCW World Champion, but this was not some clean championship win. Vince Russo caused the distraction, the bat came into play, and Cokane got robbed in the middle of the ring.
