Brooke Hogan is still unpacking a lot of ugly stuff from her relationship with her late father, Hulk Hogan, and one story in particular clearly still pisses her off. She says she eventually started checking what she’d been hearing with other people, and what came back left her wondering what else had been said behind her back.
During an appearance on the Leave Then Cleave podcast, Brooke claimed Hulk had been telling people that she slept with her real estate instructor to get her license. Brooke flat-out denied it and said she worked her ass off for the qualification, even failing the exam the first time before passing on her second attempt.
“But I realized through talking to a bunch of people and making sure I verified my stories and I’m not just talking out of my ass. Pardon me, I cuss. Married to a hockey player. Um, like my dad was telling people that I slept with my real estate instructor, who is not somebody I would sleep with. I’m not going to say anything negative about his appearance, but he was an older man. Not anything that— And my dad was telling people that I slept with him to get my real estate license. And I’m like, do you know how crazy that is? That you have to go into a state-certified, like, building. You’re on camera. The computer is monitored. Like, you can’t bring your cell phone in with you. I failed it the first time. I got it the second time. I was falling asleep at the computer. I was so tired from studying. Like, I worked my ass off to get my real estate license and slept with no one to get it. I was dating Steve at the time. And that hurt so badly because I’m like, why do you have to make up such a crazy thing?”
And that’s where things started getting even messier for Brooke. If her father was allegedly telling people something like that, she started wondering what other stories may have been floating around and whether any of them changed the way her own family looked at her. Brooke specifically questioned whether things Hulk allegedly said could explain some of the problems she’s had with her mother and brother. She made it clear that she’s still trying to put the pieces together and figure out what they may have been told about her.
“Wonder, like, is that why my brother doesn’t respect me? Is that why my mom doesn’t respect me? Like, is that—I’m starting to put things together even now where I’m like, what else did he tell people about me that’s not true that made them think, ‘F*** Brooke, she doesn’t deserve it anyway, she’s a POS’? Like, I’m not a POS. Like, what have you been told? What have you been told about me?”
Brooke then started looking back at things Hulk had allegedly said about other people, and that brought her to his second wife, Jennifer McDaniel. Brooke said she and Jennifer were extremely close, spending time together at the gym, grocery shopping, traveling and even helping each other move. That’s why Brooke wasn’t buying it when Hulk allegedly told her Jennifer had cheated on him. She said her own experiences with Jennifer made the accusation difficult for her to believe.
“And then I go back and I think about the things my dad said about other people, like his second wife. And I remember one time he said, ‘Yeah, she was cheating on me.’ And I’m like, ‘Now, Dad, I know her more than you do.’ Me and her got along like thick as thieves. I have been to the gym with her. I’ve been to the grocery store with her. I’ve been on planes with her. I’ve been in hotel rooms with her. She’s come to my house. She’s the only one that’s ever come to any house that I’ve ever been moving into and helped me move in.”
According to Brooke, Hulk specifically claimed Jennifer was cheating with a trainer at the gym. Brooke pushed back on him at the time because she had personally gone to the gym with Jennifer and felt she knew enough about her routine and how much time she spent caring for Hulk to doubt the accusation.
“And I’m like, ‘Dad, she’s not.’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, it’s a trainer at the gym.’ And I’m like, ‘I’ve been to the gym with her. Her issue is she takes so long because she’s very OCD. She finds her locker, she does the lock, she’s got to put her lipstick on thing, her lip balm, then put on her sweatband belt, and then she like checks it out and then she pees and then she washes her hands. And I’m like, oh my God, can we go work out already?’ Like, that’s her thing. She’s OCD, right? But I’m like, ‘Dad, she’s too OCD and she’s too immersed in taking care of you to even be able to do that.’”
For Brooke, this clearly goes way beyond one bizarre rumor about a real estate license. She’s now looking back at years of family drama and wondering how much of it may have been shaped by things people were allegedly told about her when she wasn’t around to defend herself.
