Brock Lesnar has picked up another major accolade, but this time it has nothing to do with WWE or UFC. Instead, The Beast Incarnate is being recognized for the dominant collegiate wrestling career that helped launch him into superstardom.

On October 2, Lesnar was officially inducted into the University of Minnesota’s M Club Hall of Fame, earning the honor for his accomplishments as a two-time All-American and NCAA heavyweight champion.

The University of Minnesota announced that Lesnar was part of this year’s Hall of Fame class, with the induction ceremony taking place at Huntington Bank Stadium. The inductees are also being recognized throughout the weekend, including during the school’s October 3 football game against Michigan.

The Beast Incarnate wrestled for the Golden Gophers from 1998 to 2000 after transferring from Bismarck Junior College, quickly establishing himself as one of the most dominant heavyweights in program history.

During his two seasons at Minnesota, Lesnar compiled an incredible 55-3 record with 23 victories by pinfall. He finished as the NCAA heavyweight runner-up in 1999 before capturing the 2000 NCAA Heavyweight Championship the following year.

In addition to winning two Big Ten Championships, Brock Lesnar was a two-time All-American and finished his collegiate career tied for the best winning percentage in University of Minnesota wrestling history.

The recognition comes just weeks after Lesnar announced his retirement from professional wrestling following his SummerSlam loss to Oba Femi. While there has continued to be speculation about a possible WWE return down the road, this latest honor celebrates the accomplishments that first put Lesnar on the national map long before he became one of the biggest stars in WWE, UFC and combat sports.

What do you think is Brock Lesnar’s greatest accomplishment—his NCAA title, his WWE career, or his UFC championship run? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
