Bret Hart completely tore into Triple H’s in-ring career, saying he never saw anything special in “The Game” and never had any real desire to wrestle him.

While speaking at Inside The Ropes, Hart was asked about his relationship with Triple H. That quickly turned into a brutal review of Triple H’s entire run as a wrestler. Bret said he could usually look at another wrestler and immediately imagine what kind of match they could create together. When it came to Triple H, that feeling was never there.

“There’s not one match that I ever watched of Triple H with anybody that I ever thought was, ‘Oh, that’s a great match.’ I never, ever wanted to wrestle him.”

Hart said Triple H never inspired him creatively and was never someone he viewed as a special opponent.

“With Triple H, it was always just a match. Nothing special ever came to my mind. I wrestled him a couple of times. He was always trying to beat me.”

Bret later doubled down and challenged fans to name one Triple H match that absolutely had to be watched.

“He was never a horrible wrestler or anything like that, but name one match to me where you’d say, ‘When you go home, find this match and watch Triple H versus somebody.’ I don’t know of one match that I ever wanted to watch back.”

Hart compared that feeling to wrestlers such as Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. Despite his personal problems with Michaels, Bret still considered him talented and believed they could create something special together. He said the same kind of excitement simply never existed with Triple H.

Triple H may be one of the most decorated names in WWE history, but Bret Hart clearly believes the résumé looks a lot better than the actual matches.
