Booker T is not backing down from Trick Williams. After Trick publicly challenged him to a championship match at SummerSlam, the WWE Hall of Famer addressed the situation again during his live Hall of Fame stream on July 20, 2026—and he sounded ready for trouble. Booker made it clear he isn’t trying to avoid his protégé or disappear now that his name has been called.
“Man, I’m not running. I’m not hiding.”
The former World Champion then warned Trick about what can happen when somebody pushes him too far. Booker said he is still training hard and won’t hesitate to defend himself if Williams decides to step up.
“See what happens when you back a dog into the corner. I am still in the gym, training as hard as I can, and if someone runs up on me, I’m going to use these things.”
Booker wasn’t finished. He followed that warning with a promise to put down anyone who tests him. He then summed up his plan in the simplest way possible.
“I’m going to drop ’em like it’s hot.“I’m just gonna pow, pow.”
The latest comments come after Williams challenged Booker to meet him in the main event of SummerSlam. Trick pitched the match as a chance for the two-time WWE Hall of Famer to make history again by facing the man he helped mold into a star.
Booker previously said he would never completely shut the door on another match. With Trick giving him a full year to prepare, Booker admitted he believes he may still be able to get back into the gym and “hang and bang” one more time.
Nothing is official, but Booker is no longer talking like somebody who wants the challenge to disappear. Trick called him out, and Booker’s answer is that he is still training, still dangerous and not afraid to throw hands.
