Blake Monroe already has one of WWE’s most recognizable entrances, but she knows exactly who she wants to give it a major celebrity upgrade.
While speaking to TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Monroe was asked which celebrity she would want to team with inside the ring. Jennifer Lawrence was one possibility, but the conversation quickly shifted to Sabrina Carpenter. Monroe admitted she was less interested in watching Carpenter wrestle and more interested in having the pop star sing her to the ring.
“Or Sabrina Carpenter, but I kind of want Sabrina to sing me to the ring. I think she would sing my theme song well. Maybe do her own version. Sabrina, if you want to.”
The idea would not be completely random. Monroe later explained that Carpenter was one of the artists she used as inspiration while helping WWE develop her entrance theme.
“I connected with them. I sent them a bunch of inspiration, which was Sabrina, Ariana Grande, and then kind of described my character because the song, if you actually listen to the lyrics, is kind of like the way I dress and I act and everything.”
Monroe also had a hand in slowing the song down, adding electric guitar and creating the spoken “Glamorous Forever” opening that fans immediately associate with her entrance.
A live Sabrina Carpenter performance could take Monroe’s presentation to another level, especially for a major WWE event. The Glamour has made the invitation public, so the ball is now in Carpenter’s court.
