Blake Monroe has found her dream celebrity opponent, and apparently all it took was watching Jennifer Lawrence throw people around while completely naked.
Speaking with Love Wrestling, Monroe was asked which celebrity or athlete she’d most like to share a WWE ring with. She didn’t go for an established fighter or someone with an obvious wrestling background. She picked Jennifer Lawrence after seeing one particularly wild scene from the 2023 comedy No Hard Feelings.
“Jennifer Lawrence. There was a movie I watched… she dates a kid, he’s like a bit of a nerd. She takes him skinny dipping on the beach and these kids steal their clothes.”
Monroe was referring to the infamous beach fight where Lawrence’s character Maddie goes after a group trying to steal their clothes. What caught Monroe’s wrestler eye wasn’t simply the absurdity of Lawrence fighting completely naked—it was her suplex form.
“She goes and beats them up and she’s butt naked, giving out perfect form Saito Suplexes. I think she would be really, really good. She’s also so funny and hot.”
That was apparently enough evidence for Monroe. And she isn’t limiting Lawrence to being an opponent, either. If the Oscar-winning actress would rather team up, Monroe is perfectly happy with that arrangement too.
“So, Jennifer Lawrence, if you want to fight me or fight with me, you know where to come.”
Lawrence obviously wasn’t performing in an actual wrestling ring in No Hard Feelings, but Monroe has seen enough. Perfect Saito Suplexes while naked apparently qualify as a WWE tryout in her book. Now Jennifer Lawrence has two options: fight Blake Monroe or fight beside her.
