Zilla Fatu wanted nothing to do with BirthRight during the WWE NXT episode on September 8, 2026, and the group made him pay for saying no. What started as another attempt to recruit the multi-generational star quickly turned into a nasty gang beatdown that ended with Fatu going through a table.
Charlie Dempsey called Fatu to the ring after declaring that BirthRight was made up of people who “bleed professional wrestling.” Dempsey offered Fatu another chance to join the group, but Fatu came out and rejected the invitation to his face.
That’s when everything went sideways. The rest of BirthRight came out and immediately started putting the boots to Fatu. He briefly fought back and looked like he might turn things around, but Ariana Grace stepped in and slapped him across the face, creating just enough of a distraction for the group to take control again.
BirthRight then dragged the beating outside the ring and took things to another level. They put Fatu through a table before standing over him as NXT headed to commercial. So much for the friendly recruitment pitch. Fatu turned BirthRight down, and Dempsey’s crew responded by trying to leave him in pieces.
