Big Cass finally made it back. Eight years after walking out of WWE, the former tag team star stormed onto the August 3, 2026 RAW, flattened Je’Von Evans and immediately reminded everyone that he isn’t back to blend into the roster. According to a new backstage report, he was just as fired up once he walked behind the curtain.
PWInsider reports that Cass was in great spirits throughout the night and was genuinely excited to be back in WWE after such a long road away from the company. After years of rebuilding himself outside WWE and waiting for another opportunity, the report paints the picture of someone soaking in every second of his comeback.
Fans only saw a few minutes of it on television. Backstage, it was a much different scene. Cass couldn’t hide how happy he was to finally be back where he started, ending a WWE absence that stretched all the way back to 2018.
The return itself didn’t leave much room for introductions. Je’Von Evans had barely finished celebrating his victory before Cass blindsided him, throwing him around the ring and planting him with the East River Crossing to officially announce that he was back. It was the kind of statement WWE had been teasing for weeks through a series of mysterious vignettes, and Cass wasted no time living up to the hype.
Later in the night, he explained that there was nothing personal about going after Evans. After waiting eight years for another chance, Evans just happened to be standing in the wrong place at the wrong time. Cass made it clear his plan is simple: keep stacking bodies until everyone remembers exactly who he is.
Now that the comeback is out of the way, the attention turns to what’s next. Cass has already planted his flag on RAW, and after making Je’Von Evans his first victim, it won’t be long before another superstar finds themselves standing in his path.
