Bayley is throwing her support behind Rebel as the wrestling world continues rallying around the former AEW and TNA star during her battle with ALS.
After being nominated by Natalya and Gail Kim, Bayley took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and went all-in by dumping two buckets of ice water over herself. She then passed the challenge along to Roxanne Perez, Maxxine Dupri, Carmella, Corey Graves, Grayson Waller, Anita Vaughn, Safire Reed, Super P, Jordan Blade, Dani Mo and Alexis Littlefoot.
Rebel has received support from wrestlers and fans across the industry since revealing her ALS diagnosis. AEW is also continuing its support with AEW Rebel Heart on September 9.
Back in June, Rebel joined I AM ALS as an ambassador and made it clear she plans to keep fighting while using her platform to push for research, treatments and legislation.
“ALS may be a terminal diagnosis, but I’m showing up to fight as an Ambassador for I AM ALS. This patient-led movement is stepping into the ring every day to drive real progress and passing laws like the ACT for ALS for research and treatments. I’m proud to join I AM ALS and I’m asking you to step into the ring with us. Please take action.”
Bayley’s Ice Bucket Challenge is the latest example of the wrestling community getting behind Rebel, and with more names now nominated, that support could keep spreading well beyond one video.
