If you’ve been trying to figure out whether Becky Lynch is supposed to be the babyface or heel since coming back, you’re definitely not alone. Now it looks like we finally have a concrete answer.
According to PWInsider, Becky Lynch is now internally listed as a babyface on Monday Night RAW, which certainly makes sense considering how she’s been acting ever since coming back following SummerSlam. After her return, the Man immediately found herself tangled up with Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer, bouncing between uneasy ally and outright menace depending on the week.
The biggest moment came during WWE’s live event in Chile, where Becky was the special guest referee for Liv’s title defense against Vaquer. Instead of calling it straight down the middle, Becky refused to count the match-winning pin for Liv. Seconds later, Stephanie Vaquer capitalized, won the championship and walked out with the title, while Liv was left furious.
That finish didn’t settle anything. If anything, it made the situation even messier. Liv wants revenge after getting robbed of the title, Becky still has championship ambitions of her own, and Vaquer suddenly has two of RAW’s biggest names coming after her.
Bottom line: the title picture isn’t getting any less complicated. WWE may have already decided where Becky fits on the roster, but whether the audience sees her the same way is a different story altogether.
